Jose Eliverio Medina

Biography


Jose Eliverio Medina, 94 of Taos passed away December 9, 2009. He was a long time Educator in the Taos School System. He taught in Cerro, Talpa, Ranchos Jr. High and Ranchos Elementary. He was a US Army veteran serving with the 90th Division of the 3rd Army that landed on Utah Beach in Normandy. He was also a Commander with VFW Post 3259 and was a member of the Taos County Retired Tearchers Association. He is preceded in death by parents, Silviano and Emilia Medina and wife Mary Ruth Medina. He is survived by son, Michael Medina of Taos and sister, Ida Myers (Cliff) of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 7 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow at 2 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
