David A. Martinez
Our beloved brother passed away unexpectedly October 10, 2015. He was born April 22, 1962 and raised in Santa Fe. He is preceded in death by his father David Martinez, mother Antonia Martinez, and brothers Alfred and Ronnie Martinez. David is survived by his sister Corrine Gee (David), and brothers Michael and Andrew Martinez, and his niece and nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins. David was a hard worker all of his life. He began his career at Pizza Hut, moved on to the On Lok Yuen, Casa Rael, and finally Smiths grocery store. David was an outdoors man. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gathering wood for the winter months. David also loved his cats. Always making sure they were well fed, whether it was his own or a stray cat. David will always be remembered by his love for his family, his willingness to always help others, and the love he showed everybody. David had a smile for everybody. David loved his nephews Alfred (Georgie) Martinez, Dominick Gee, Michael Lee Martinez, and his niece Antonia Martinez. Serving as pallbearers are: Michael Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Dominick Gee, Michael Lee Martinez, Antonia Martinez and Leroy Chavez. A visitation will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 at 6:00pm at Kiva of Light Chapel, 417 E. Rodeo Rd. A rosary will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 8:00am at the St Johns the Baptist Church Followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00am with a burial at Rosario Cemetery. Everyone is invited to attend a reception at the Santa Fe Womens Club
