Biography


Darlene Tucker passed away peacefully on March 3, 2016, at Cox Hospital, Branson, Missouri. She was 95.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6 at Greenlawn East Funeral Home in Branson.

Darlene will return home to Iowa and have a second visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset where her family will be present to receive friends during this time.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset with burial to immediately follow in the Winterset Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the church following the committal.

Darlene Lavonne Goodman was born in rural Madison County, Iowa on August 14, 1920. She was the fourth child of seven in the William Thomas and Amanda (Pehrson) Goodman family. She attended country schools in Madison County and graduated from Winterset High School, Winterset, Iowa.

Darlene’s marriage to Blaine K. Tucker took place on August 14, 1941 and they were married for 68 years. They farmed in rural Madison County until moving to Branson in 1969. They purchased Rinehart’s Meat Processing and ran it successfully for over 30 years.

Survivors include her son, Thomas K. Tucker, Branson; daughter, Becki (Bob) Bradford; granddaughter, Megan Blayne and great-granddaughter, Blayne Renae Richardson all of Springfield and sister, Virginia Isom, Casa Grande, Arizona.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine who died January 5, 2010, her parents, brothers, Bun and Lester, and sisters, Alice, Clara and Mary Ella.
