Biography

L'Wren Scott was born Luann Bambrough in 1964. Raised by her Mormon adoptive parents Ivan and Lula, she grew up in Roy, Utah. An awkward and tall child, she reached 6ft by the age of 12. L'Wren lived a glamourous life as a fashion designer. She dated some of the biggest names in Hollywood, vacationed on yachts, lived on Madison Avenue and for the past 13 years, dated Mick Jagger. Her career was considerable and her reach enormous.

L'Wren spent her teenage years dreaming of fashion. She read everything she could about the fashion world. At the age of 18 she was discovered by Bruce Weber who convinced her to go off to Paris to live her dream. L'Wren, a tall beauty, began her career in 1985 as a model before moving to Los Angeles to become a stylist in the early 1990's. She was a stylist for many famous ad campaigns, model shoots and movie sets. In 1994 she began doing PR for Prada. In 2006 L'Wren began the L'Wren Scott fashion line, which is now sold all over the world and is highly regarded.

Some of L'Wren Scott's most notable work includes the Bobbi Brown x L'Wren Scott Collection, modeling for the likes of Chanel and Prada, styling the 1996 remake of Diabolique, Ocean's Thirteen, Eyes Wide Shut & Shine a Light as well as collaborations with Lancome and the Banana Republic.

L'Wren Scott was found dead by her assistant in her Manhattan apartment on Monday, March 17th. She hung herself and left no note. L'Wren leaves behind her partner of 13 years Mick Jagger and a fashion empire built by her hands and hard work. She will be missed!
