Tomas Herrera, Jr.

Mr. Tomas Herrera, Jr. , age 84 of Abiquiu, NM. died peacefully on Thursday June 14, 2012, in his home. He resided in Albuquerque until retirement, and along with his wife Rosela, made a home in Abiquiu to enjoy the beauty and outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt, and also enjoyed dancing. He was known for his great sense of humor. His children will remember both of their parents as being very dedicated and loving. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosela in 2006 and daughter Annabel Herrera in 2012. He is survived by daughters Dolores Herrera and Yolanda Herrera, both of Albuquerque, and sons Robert Herrera and spouse Lillian of Albuquerque, and Martin Herrera and spouse Martha Carol of Abiquiu, 2 brothers; Jesus Herrera of Albuquerque, and Frank Herrera and spouse Nellie of Los Chavez, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and other beloved relatives.

A rosary and mass of Christian burial were held on June 19, 2012 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu, NM. Inurnment followed at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe.
