Rue Phillips Dishongh

Rue Phillips Dishongh, 99, or Mama Rue as she was known to her family and friends died peacefully on Friday, February 17th. She was born in Wynne, Ark and had been a resident of Canon since 1972. Rue and her husband, Wood, had retired to Taos and ran a local frame shop, The Final Touch for several years. Rue is survived by her son, Stephen W. Dishongh and daughter in law, Mary L. Ginger Dishongh, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Krommenhoek in 1977 and her beloved husband, Lewis Wood Dishongh iin 1979. Rue served on the Huntsville, TX hospital auxiliary and was a former member of the Taos Garden Club.

Funeral service was held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Rivera Chapel with burial at Sierra Vista Cemetery.
