Rose Medrano
Rose Medrano, age 83, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born on June 30, 1934 in Santa Fe, NM to parents Agapito and Cirilia Ulibarri. She married Tony Medrano on December 24, 1952.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Evangeline Wells, Priscilla Griego and Benita, brothers Junior and Tony. She is survived by her husband Tony Medrano, sons Tony Medrano (Celia) and Alan Medrano (Jessica), sisters Dora Montoya and Isabel Navarro (Chino), step-sister Judy Larraniaga, grandchildren Melissa Castellanos, Tashauna Medrano, Natalie Medrano, Amy Wepfer, Sara Medrano and 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Rose was a devoted wife and loving mother. She lived a life helping and caring for many friends and family. She cared about the wellbeing of those she loved and was always “there” if you needed help.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 9:00am at the Kiva Chapel of Light at Rivera Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 10:00am with the burial at 11:15am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Melissa Castellanos, Tashauna Medrano, Natalie Medrano, Amy Wepfer, Sara Medrano, and Robert Ulibarri.
