Springtime (with videos)

"It's going to be the springtime of our lives, since our friend Ramon already finished the winter of his" When my husband and I moved to Alcalde from Missouri in 2008, we found a "home" at Anthony's at the Delta in Espanola with Ramon, Fred, Jeff and Terry, Michael, Tomas, Anthony, Manuel, Anita, Chris, Scott, Cheryl, David, and many others. I took a Spanish class at Northern that fall. Often, before class, I'd share a drink and a laugh with Ramon. He'd help me review and taught me lots of great Spanish proverbs (and even some not-so-great, colorful expletives), too. He was always ready with a charming smile or a wise quip. We'll definitely miss this part of our New Mexico family. In 2010, our friend Fred Manriquez passed away. Our little "family" gathered at the Delta to remember our friend. I brought my camera to share with Fred's daughter in California. Here are two videos of Ramon, singing in tribute to Fred's passing, from 2010. I hope these videos help you remember Ramon in his own words, expressions and general charm. I know we'll miss him, and we treasure our memories. Ramon sings "Primavera" (7 min., 12 sec.): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=4480404002960 Ramon sings "Rumbo Al Sur" (2 min., 20 sec.): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10101222467532220 With love, April & Matt

Ryan, Robin and Dominguez family, Losing a dear friend on the New Year. The loss of a loved one is a pain and emptyness that will always be. A dear friend and that is no lie, who has left me beautiful memories I will always cherish. As I shut my eyes, tears but not tears of longing sorrow - tears for a dear friend always willing to sing for others to just put happinesss within them. The great crazy jokes we shared. Share the wonderful and beautiful memories he has also left his family. Will always remember his "Monsito" look. My friend just left me good, positive, warm memories. God Bless and my prayers are with you all.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. This is one of the most difficult things we must face in this life. But the bible assures us at Psalms 34:18 that God is near to those broken in heart and those crushed in spirit he saves. He also promises that we will be able to see our loved ones again. Jesus own words found at John 5:28,29 tells us there will be a resurrection. He also says that soon on the earth there will be no more pain, suffering and especially death. Revelation 21:3-5 May these bible thoughts bring you comfort at this most difficult time.
