Margaret S. Maez

Margaret S. Maez, 85, of Hernandez, NM, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 due to a lengthy illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband Desiderio J. Maez, parents Leonardo and Basilisa Bustos, sons; Steven Maez, Floyd Maez, and David Maez, brothers Leonardo, Hilario, Fernandez, and Leo Bustos.

Margaret was born March 30, 1924 in Cebolla, NM.

She is survived by sons Desiderio M. Maez (Gloria), Alex Maez (Carol), and Ruben Maez Sr. (Darlene), brother Orlando Bustos (Lupe), sister Sally Garcia (Joe F.), 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, special cousin Lisa Bonney, and many other relatives.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 5:30pm at Santa Maria de la Paz, rosary will follow at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:30pm at Santa Maria de la Paz. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00pm.

Pallbearers will include: Ruben Maez Jr., Steve Maez, Marcos Maez, Chris Maez, David Maez, Jerry Bustos, and Joe Garcia Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Rachel Romero, Stephanie Martinez, Nadine Archuleta, and Beverly Maez.
