Margaret Ann Jurgensen

April 14th, 1937 - September 15th, 2007


Margaret was born April 14th, 1937 in Milo, Iowa to Earl Allsup, Sr. and Flossie Mae Curtis. She attended school in Milo, Winterset and graduated from the DeSoto High School. Her marriage to Bill Jurgensen, Sr. took place on November 19th, 1954 at the Trinity Lutheran Church south of Van Meter. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Jurgensen; two brothers, James and Robert and two grandchildren, Hailey and Jordan Jurgensen. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother helping her husband to run and manage the family farm while also raising their five children. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of St. Charles. She was an excellent cook and baker who also enjoyed sewing, ironing and camping. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Jurgensen of Winterset; four children, Bill (Sharon) Jurgensen, Jr. of Stuart; Gail (Penny) Jurgensen of Winterset; Christine (Mike) Hobart of Prole; David (Amy) Jurgensen of Prole; three siblings; Helen Cooper of Earlham; Fern Douglas of Earlham; Earl Allsup, Jr. of Peru; ten grandchildren (Chad (Mandy) Jurgensen, Paul (Mistie) Jurgensen, Marie Jurgensen, Michael Jurgensen, Jessica Jurgensen, Ryan Hobart, Ashley Jurgensen, Tiffany Jurgensen, Samantha Hobart AND Gentry Jurgensen) and five great grandchildren (Alyssa Goering, Kyle McCuddin, Caleigh Jurgensen, Daniel Jurgensen and Riley Jurgensen).

Visitation: The family will receive friends and family from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2007 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare, Winterset.

Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church, St. Charles.

Memorial: Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice, Johnston.
