My wife and I came to Taos in 2004 and Lynnette was one of my earthship neighbors. She was pretty active in the community at first but then the disease started to take its toll and she became less active.
I liked working with her on various things that needed attention at her earthship and helped update her computer. I also helped her when she broke some bones from one of her increasingly frequent falls.
She was a Peace Corp volunteer and took care of abandoned or abused pets.
My wife and I acknowledge her courageous spirit for her work in the Peace Corp and for living in an off-grid home far away from the city in her condition.
