Jose Maria Cortez

Jose Maria Cortez, 86, of El Prado passed away August 16, 2011. He is preceded in death by his son, Francis Pancho Cortez, brothers and sisters, Dolores Garcia, Emilio Cortez, Josefa Jones and Jose L. Cortez. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cortez, children, Prescilla Varos (Elizario), Betty Sandoval (Porfirio), Phoebe Cordova (Jose), Bella Martinez (Arturo), Rosemary Miera (Roger), Joseph Cortez (Lucy), Yolanda Cortez, Christine Gonzales (Paul), 21 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren, sisters, Brigida Martinez, Sophia Gutierrez and many other relatives and friends.

Rosary was recited on August 17, 2011. Funeral mass was held on August 18, 2011. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment was held at the Dolores Cemetery.
