Joe D. Perea, 80, of Rowe, NM passed away on April 10, 2011.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Rosarita Perea, parents-in-law, Apolonio and Guadalupe Archuleta, brothers, Ramon, Efren, Antonio, Domingo, Louie Perea, sister, Della Roybal, brothers-in-law, Joe Roybal, Douglas Louge, Simon Maestas, Mike Flores, Melesinero Encinias and Ted Rodriguez, sisters-in-law, Gertrude Padilla, Delfina Maestas, Monica Encinias, and Cecilia Perea

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mercedes Perea, daughter, Louisa Martinez (Federico) of Rio Rancho, son, Jerry Perea (Crusita) of Rowe, NM, daughter, JulieAnn Ashford (Scott) of Albuquerque, NM, sisters, Francis Rodriguez, Eufulia Louge, sisters-in-law, Grace Flores, Susie Perea, and Rachel Perea, grandchildren, Joseph F. Perea, Alison Norman (John), Jerome Perea Jr. (Michelle), Jacob Perea (Amanda Reta), Angela Maldonado (Danny), Arlene Ashford, and Levi Ashford, great grandchildren, Joshua Ashford, Jade Perea, Sierra Norman, Elija Perea, Emiliano Perea, Zayda Norman, Little Julie, Marcelino Ashford, Jacob Reta Perea, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

A rosary was recited on April 14, 2011. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on April 15, 2011. Both services were held at Sagrada Familia Church in Rowe, NM. Interment followed at the Perea Family Cemetery in Rowe, NM.
