To Helen's family: I noted Helen's obituary in the ARGUS LEADER today. My sympathy is extended in the loss of your aunt. She was my instructor at Augustana College when I was in their nursing program. After graduation in 1965, I stopped to see her at St Mary's Hospital while in Rochester, MN, for an appt. She encouraged me to meet the Sister in charge of Psychiatry, and I ended up beginning work there the next month. We also had the 'twin brother' factor to share....and she got to meet my twin on one visit to campus. Every time I drive past her little home in Sioux Falls I recall her many reports of the birds she had spotted. She shared her skills/talents with many. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Jean Hand Snyder

I just now became aware of Helen's passing. I worked with her at the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls. She was wise & put much thought into her decisions, was very caring towards all & maintained a high standard of professionalism. Please accept my sympathies this Thanksgiving week. I am thankful to have met Helen.
