Geraldine T. Martinez

Geraldine Geri T. Martinez, passed away unexpectedly due to illness on June 25, 2011. A beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, she was loved by many. Geri was born in Taos, New Mexico on September 26. She was a life long resident of Taos and worked for Taos County in the Assessor's Office as well as with the Taos Municipal Schools. She was preceded in death by her father, Meregildo Martinez. She took great joy in her family, and is survived by her son, Daniel Trujillo (Camille), daughter, Destiny Trujillo (Leroy Vigil), granddaughter, Lilyana, beloved companion, Tomas Miera, mother, Grace Martinez, brothers and sisters, Virginia Romero (Urban), Teddy Santistevan (David), Charlie Martinez (Crystal Cordova), Rudy Martinez (Deborah), Betty Martinez-Gonzales (Dennis), Peter Martinez (Gayle), Meregildo Martinez Jr. (Debra), Eddie Martinez, father to her children, Floyd Trujillo. Geri was a Nina to many; formally and informally. She will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Evening service was held on June 29, 2011 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral service was held on June 30, 2011 at Good News Christian Fellowship Church.
