Dearest uncle Gary out of all my moms brothers you were my favorite. You were a genuinely kind hearted good person from beginning to end. You were my moms favorite. Now that my mom is gone forever like you I hope she’s in heaven with you. I love you!

One of the most delightful long weekends of my life with my teenaged daughter was our trip from Georgia to take Gary's extended batik workshop. What a privilege! Not just that we learned so much about his art, but that we were able to be around his spirit for a time. We are deeply saddened at the discovery of his passing. He was a precious soul, living as full out and brightly.

I am very sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Gary. I took a class with him this summer and he was great in helping overcome my anxiety. I actually created a work of art with the help of his bright spirit.
