Frances Olivas

Frances Olivas, age 82, of Ranchitos passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009. Frances was born to the late Willie and Susana Sanchez in Leadville Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Sirenio Joe Olivas, daughters; Francis Pancha Padilla, Guadalupe Hosek and Mary Olivas, sons; John Tso Olivas, Steven Olivas and Sotero Olivas, grandchildren; Bobby, Chris, Patrick, Stevana and Dominic. Frances was a loving, caring person who was always willing to help people in need. Often people would leave her home calling her Mom because of her deeds. Mrs. Olivas is survived by her daughters; Gloria Madrid and husband Louie of Albuquerque and Susie Baca of Albuquerque, sons; Joe Olivas of Ranchitos, Raymond Olivas of San Juan Pueblo, Manuel Olivas and wife Dolores of Santa Fe, Michael Olivas and Danny Olivas both of Ranchitos, grandchildren raised as children; Jude R. Torres and wife Denice of Santa Fe, Oliver A. Torres and wife Heather of San Juan Pueblo, and Gene Padilla, Jr. and wife Roanna of Tijeras, over 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many others who referred to her as Mom. Recitation of the rosary will be on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am also at church. Interment will follow at The Santa Cruz Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be; Jude Torres, Oliver A. Torres, Sr., Oliver A Torres, Jr., Danno Olivas, Gene Padilla and Manuel Ryan Olivas.
