Eliza P. Nina Gasca-Rivera- 96, of La Canova was born March 8, 1914. She passed away on Saturday May 22, 2010. She was born March 8, 1914 to the late Perfecta y Pablino Gasca. She was preceded in death by her parents and also su esposo Antonio Rivera , una hija Gracita Rivera, 3 hijos; Pablo, Max and Herby Rivera, nietos; Juan Leonard Rivera, Larry Salazar, and Chad Young, Visnieto; Kurt Neuman, II, son in laws Levi Salazar and Joe Segovia and daughter in laws Mary and Lucille Rivera, hermanas; Olivama Martinez, Ester Lucero, Victoriana Velarde, Sobrina Como Hermana Pauline Vigil, hermanos; Jesus, Jose, Miguel and Adolfo Gasca, and Leberato, Max and Pablo Martinez, brother in laws; Andres, Christobal and Tony, sister in laws; Jesusita, Cora, Erma, Mary, Rafaelita, Josefina and Ultima. She is survived by her daughters Sylvia Salazar of Los Luceros and Boonie Miera and husband Eloy of Bernalillo,Lupita Medina and husband Meliton of La Canova, daughter in law Kelly Mitchell, sister in law Albinita Gasca, 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren as well as other relatives. Recitation of rosary will be held on Tuesday May 25th at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde, the mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. also at church with interment to follow at the Catholic cemetery in Velarde. Serving as pallbearers will be; Lori Ortiz, Paula, Angela and Soledad Martinez, Donna Maestas, Patsy Neuman, Lisa Griego, Eliza Miera, Kika Frances Sanchez and Penny Romero.
