Eduvigen Martinez

Eduvigen Martinez, 89, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend died peacefully at her home in Canjilon on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born in Coyote, NM to Belarmino and Rosenda Garcia. She is preceded in death by her husband; Jose Abran, one son; Johnny, stepson; Juan, step daughter; Dina Martin, one granddaughter; Mary Theresa Jaramillo, her parents; Belarmino and Rosenda Garcia, three brothers; Gavino, Max and Jose Garcia. She is survived by one daughter; Theresa and husband Ralph Jaramillo of Bloomfield, NM, sons; Oliver of Tooele, Utah, Vincente and wife Sally of Kearns, Utah, Abran of Grants, NM, Adan and wife Elfa, Eloy and wife Deluvinia, Max and wife Mary, stepson; Gilbert, a close cousin; Melisendro Martinez, a close friend Flora Garcia, all of Canjilon, NM, two brothers; Felix and wife Jo., Lian Garcia, three sisters; Ufelia and husband Filiberto Montoya, Tillie Romero, Patsy Garcia all of Utah, sister-in-law; Vicenta Martinez of El Rito, NM, twenty five grandchildren, thirty six great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Eduvigens spirit, laughter, smile, and love will forever be in our hearts.

Her remains will be taken to San Juan Nepomoceno Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 25th where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A celebration to honor Eduvigens life will take place on Thursday, May 26th at 1:00 p.m., at San Juan Nepomoceno Catholic Church in Canjilon, NM. Interment will follow at the Canjilon Community Cemetery. Pallbearers named are: Ralph Jr. Jaramillo, Daniel, James, Santiago, Tory, Christopher, Trino and Jeffery Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers: all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren The family of Eduvigen have entrusted their loved one to the Rivera Family Funeral Home.
