A Time To Be Born:
Edgar Taylor was the first of three children born on November 17, 1947 in Houston, Texas (Harris County) to the parentage of Rev. Willie Taylor and Theophilus Taylor.
A Time To Learn:

A Time To Marry:
A Time For Reverence To GOD:
At an early age Edgar accepted Christ and joined with Progressive New Hope Baptist Church in third ward under Rev. N.S. Brown. Edgar was a faithful, dependable, committed, and loyal member. Before his transition, he was an organist at New Bright Star Missionary Baptist Church. He loved it very much. He played at different churches and weddings all over town. In honor of his legacy he became dedicated to his music. He played for the children’s choirs as well as the adult choirs. He got a joy of serving the LORD. GOD presented Edgar as their musician and servant in which he cared for them with a true heart and skillful hands.
A Time To Work:
Psalm 104:33 says,
“I will sing unto the Lord as long as long as I live: I will sing praise to my GOD while I have my being.”
Edgar Taylor was the Minister of Music that provided our church and Sunday school with musical inspiration, guidance, and leadership. He had the heart and love of selecting appropriate music for all occasions and always gave attention to details. His work was to show perfection because he knew that music is the highest form of praise. He was a spirit led Christian that proved faith without works is dead. Edgar Taylor directed music that was an integral part of the worship that honored Christ. Through his music ministry, lives were touched, souls were saved, and spirits were lifted.
A Time of Homegoing:
On Sunday morning November 5, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. Edgar made his transition at the home of his son and wife in Pearland, TX.

We loved him but GOD loved him best.
