Delores Edwards

Delores Edwards, 78, of Macksburg, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Delores Jeanne Berkland, the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Skeels) Berkland, was born April 22, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Victor Edwards at the Candlelight Chapel in Las Vegas on December 23, 1983.
Dee helped Victor farm and operate Victor Edwards Trucking. She retired from farming after 28 years and happily became a long-term caretaker for her late husband. She loved being on her tractor, spending time with her family, and helping others. Dee was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Frisch; son, Steve (Susan) Wallace; grandchildren, Shawnee (Kent), Brenda (Ryan), Amber (Chuck), Timothy, Shane, Chad, Jared, and Brad; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Magnani, Linda Hegland, and Patricia Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Victor; siblings Bobette, Gloria, Margaret, Dicky, David, Rachel, Sandy, and Jerry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2014 at Ochiltree Funeral Service.
A visitation will be held with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Ochiltree Funeral Service.
