Carmen Lucero

Carmen DeAguero Lucero, of Canon passed away on May 13, 2009. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3259, Chapter 1401 Federal Retirees. She served for 20 years as secretary treasurer to Acequia del Norte del Canon. She is preceded in death by husband of 27 years, Joe H. Lucero, parents, Jose Cipriano and Isabel Cruz DeAguero, sister, Erlinda Louise Barajas, brother in law, Max Barajas, grandparents, Juan Bautista and Salome Gomez DeAguero, Jose Nestor and Juanita Cruz. She is survived by sister, Salome DeAguero, sister in law, Mercedes Hick, cousin, Juanita Santistevan, nephews, Philip Barajas, John B. Lucero, Paul Lucero, Art and Gustavo Lucero, nieces, Patricia Burch, Ernestina Barajas, Juliana Lucero, Christina Chavarria (Tom), great niece, Anita Burch and many other relatives and friends.

Rosary was recited on Friday, May 15, 2009. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment was held at the Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Canon.
