Angie Sisneros

September 30th, 1922 - November 4th, 2017

Biography

Angela “Angie” Josephina Sisneros (Rael) age 95 was called to her final home by her creator on November 4, 2017 at 1:33 PM. Angie was born on September 30, 1922 in Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico. Angie was known by those who knew her as an “Angel” and my favorita. Angie babysat for the neighborhood children when called upon and also served as a foster parent to several children. Angie was a devoted Catholic, and she, along with her husband Vidal served as Mayordomos at Our Lady of Guadalupe church. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Society. She was employed at The Original Holy Cross Hospital for several years. She loved baking and was famous, in the neighborhood, for her bread and her delicious biscochitos. Her grandchildren, when visiting, would make a beeline straight to her stash of biscochitos. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and her meek and sweet personality.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents Silverio and Refugio Rael, Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico, Vidal S. Sisneros, her husband of 52 years, Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law Celia and JD Mares, Father in Law, Lino Cisneros, son Clarence W. Sisneros, grandson Clarence A. Sisneros, granddaughter Angela “Angie” Sisneros, sisters Cecilia Hughes, and Tina Roberts, brothers Silviano Rael, Toby Rael, Eloy Rael, Alberto Rael and Joe Mares, Sisters-in-law, Rafelita Gonzales (Claudio) and Ruperta Trujillo (Bernardo). Angela is survived by her brother Phillip Jess Rael, daughters, Rosalie Morgas (Rueben), Taos, New Mexico, Helen Lujan (Joe), Embudo, New Mexico, sons, Lawrence Sisneros, Taos, New Mexico, and Frederick Sisneros (Paula), Taos, New Mexico. She is also survived by 14 grand children, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other loving relatives and friends. Special thanks to Pearl Winters, who cooked special meals for her, Cecile who brought her the Taos newspaper and a snack until she could no longer read. Kevin and Bernice for being available whenever she needed their help, Olivia Large, who visited often and brought food and treated her to relaxing massages, The Gonzales family whom she loved dearly. Her special friends, that called or visited often, Rose Duran, Della , Lupe, Ursula, Tomasita, Alice Martinez, Stella, Leonard Trujillo and niece Olivia Tafoya. Thank you Leticia Chavez, who helped with her care for over a year. Thank you To Deacon Jerry Quintana who prayed with Angie, and administered the Eucharist on a weekly basis. Thank you to Nancy, Marti and Michelle, her nurses who gave her such special care. Thank you to all of her Family and Friends who have called or stopped by to show their respect and love for her. We appreciate each and every one of you.

Rosary was recited on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment was held at the Dolores Cemetery.
