At the end of 1979, my wife, Betty and I purchased our home in Taos, after leaving my Chicago high-pressure real estate law practice, during which, among other things, I earned a Certified Title Insurance Law designation from Chicago Title Insurance Company by resolving an encroachment of their underground vault beneath a neighboring property discovered during construction.
Emily Van Horn had the listing on our house. I properly prepared a Real Estate Purchase Agreement requiring my review of a Commitment for Title Insurance and presented it to Emily, who became quite upset because our offer was “contingent”.
Friends directed me to Olivia who not only helped but expressed hopeful gratitude that I would continue to require Title Insurance Commitments in my Real Estate Purchase Agreements, I still do. I enjoyed working with Olivia until she sold her Title Insurance Agency, always joking about Emily’s insistence that we were going to lose the house because our offer was contingent.
I remain grateful to Olivia for her continued understanding of my role and let her continuing encouragement guide my way.

Deepest sympathy to Olivia's grandsons. Olivia was one of my dearest cousins. She will always be Aunt Olivia and she treated us as if we were her niece and nephew. She was a very smart business woman, very artistic, and creative. Deepest sympathy to Leo and Nemey and their families.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of Tia Olivia. The last time I spoke to her was in October 2016. She called me to send her sadness at the death of my brother's son John M. Archuleta at the age of 38 years old. She never mentioned her illness, only prayers for the family. We do have a painting of hers and will always remember our Archuleta family reunions in New Mexico. May she rest in Peace.

Heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Olivia's grandsons and surving brothers Nemey and Leo Arellano and their families. Olivia was always quite generous and accommodating whenever we visited her. We will always appreciate the advise she gave us in handling of our late mom's property and will be eternally grateful for all the love and support she provided over many years to her Tia. May she now rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon her for eternity. We will miss her.
