Mary Lou Romero

Mary Lou Romero, age 77, a resident of Cuyamungue passed away on February 20, 2013. She was born on February 16, 1936 in Santa Fe to Irene and Salvador Abeyta and married Benito Romero in September 1954.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her father, Salvador Abeyta, mother, Irene Abeyta, brother, Robert Abeyta, sisters, Annie Muller and Isabel Abeyta and mother-in-law, Marina Romero. She is survived by her husband, Benito Romero, son, Billy Gene Romero (Lisa Rivera), daughters: Nina Molina Santiago (Edgar Molina Santiago), Karen Brown (Patrick Brown) and Flora Martinez (John Martinez), grandchildren: William, Vincent, Monica, Shana, Savannah, J.C., Sylvie, Marina, Amanda, Samantha, Fernando, Kimberly, Elon, and Dacia, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, sister, Priscilla, brother, Salvador Pete Jr. Abeyta, and step grandchildren, Roseann, Juan and Manuel Rivera.

A visitation and rosary were held on February 25, 2013 at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on February 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Interment followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
