Just learned of Jenny's passing. She was a friend of my grandmother and grandfather and a family friend ant she considered my mother and her two sisters as her daughters. I saw her last when she was 98. I hope that I have not missed her memorial service. I know she will be missed forever by the people of Taos.

I've known this beautiful woman since I was 8 years old. She encouraged my sisters and I to sing at an early age and even has an early recording of us somewhere. She was at our school every week with her box of instruments and taught us all different folk songs that I know none of us would have ever heard if it hadn't been for her. She also taught us how to sing in rounds. I think of her now whenever I hear, "Sweet Betsy From Pike", "The Kookaburra Song", "Michael Rowed The Boat Ashore", "Sleep My Child And Peace Attend Thee", "Waltzing Matilda", "Alouette Gentille Alouette", "Frere Jacques", "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and so many more! My sisters and I used to sing my favorite rounds song "Hey Ho, Anybody Home" and others walking home from our bus stop. Thank you, Mrs. Jenny Vincent for our forever memories. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the Cerro school children growing up! I know my sisters and I will forever love you!
