Our deepest condolences to Mary & the family. From the first time at church his contagious smile captured me. My kids fell in love with him & the special bond he & Jayden had will never be lost or forgotten. We rejoice that he is on heaven with his Lord & Savior as our hearts ache for the loss of the most wonderful friend-tears are being shed daily knowing we won't get to laugh together. Until we meet again Mr. Garry AKA Uncle George. Love Carmella, Jayden, Hope & Destiny.

Garry was such a special person, who loved life and enjoyed it everyday of his life. I am honored to be his friend and to have spent time with him in many different settings over the past 9 years.

Mary. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and family. Garry was indeed one of a kind. During my lifetime I cannot recall more uplifting times than the time spent with Garry on golf outings to the U.K. and all over the U.S. He has had a major impact on my life was indeed an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with. He will be sorely missed by many but I take great solace in the fact that he accepted the ultimate outcome of his illness. Then in true Garry Stramel fashion inspired others with his incredible courage. There are few people that go through life who have given as much to other people, as Garry. Rest in peace my Dear Friend. We love you.

My family knew Garry for many years. We haven't seen him in a long time, but never forgot him. My mom and dad, who were special friends of his, have passed on and will be welcoming him home with all his other friends who have gone before. My husband and I remember him fondly as a guy who loved to laugh and was always the life of the party. He was kind and engaging and I'm sure is making everyone in his new spiritual home smile. Garry was such a special person--one you don't run into very often. He always wore a smile and his sense of humor and great laugh weren't far behind. Santa Fe won't be the same without him. My heart goes out to Mary, Scott and your families. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

Oh Mary and family, how our human hearts ache with you and for you in Garry's death. But as his beautiful obituary states, because Jesus Christ was Lord and Savior of his life, Garry is safe in the arms of Jesus. Those of us who share these beliefs will one day share heaven with Garry.
We will never forget our dear friend. May you feel God's peace and love and find true comfort in knowing that IT IS WELL WITH HIS SOUL.
