Gabie Lujan

Mrs. Gabie Lujan 73 of Espanola died peacefully on Saturday September 13, 2008. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years Manuel E. Chief Lujan on November 29, 2005, her dear parents Catalino and Crescenciana Ortiz, her sisters Laura Maestas and Eva Garcia, and her brother Horacio Ortiz, her father and mother in law Jacobo and Juanita Lujan, and her brothers in law: Jacobo, Jr., Robert, Richard, Dennis and Filimon Lujan. She is survived by her sister Helen Fresquez and husband Joe of San Pedro, Dora Maes and husband Frutoso of Santa Fe, Ana Bell Ortiz of Albuquerque, Diolinda Herrera and husband Dennis of Espanola, sister in law Ida Bustos of Albuquerque, brother in law Paul Lujan and wife Nancy of Espanola and J.R. Garcia of Albuquerque, Aunts: Claudia Montoya of Santa Fe, Elda Carrillo of Santa Fe, Dolores Lujan and husband Joe of Santa Fe, Mattie Ulibarri of Santa Fe, Armando Ortiz and wife Jane of Espanola. Public visitation will begin on Monday at 5:00 pm in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with the rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Espanola, with interment to follow at The Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Serving as pallbearers are: John Ceballes, Nazario Valdez, Arnold Cordova, Stephen Cordova, Mac Herrera and Daniel Barela, honorary pallbearers being all of the nephews and neices.
