As children growing up on the plaza, Mrs McCarthy was a daily part of the Holland/ Apodaca families lives. We all greeter her when she came into Rexall. To me she always looked like a true beauty queen. She was a true go getter and lovely lady and she will truly be missed by the whole Taos community. Condolences to her dear family.

Tom and family, I am so sorry and can hardly believe this. Barbara was a force of nature! She was so upbeat and made Casa B so beautiful.
I'm sorry I will be out of the state and can't attend the funeral, but my thoughts will be with you.

Barbara had a special quality that warmed everyone she touched. Her beauty was more than skin deep and we will all miss her as she becomes a bright star watching over us from the heavens. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.

My sincerest condolences to the McCarthy family. Your wife, mother, grandmother was a gift to the Taos Community. I will always cherish the memory of her as one of my newspaper customers way back when. May you find solace in the love of family and friends during this time.

To Tom & his children, So much of my early life in Taos was impacted to Barbara. She was my neighbor, taught me and my brother Mexican Dance, and other dances; she was a Coach, a genuine "real" nice person, my prayers go out to your entire family, she was special.
