Yolanda Martinez

Yolanda Martinez, 70 of Medanales, died peacefully Thursday April 16, 2009. She was a loving caring person who was very outgoing, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family remembers her as a strong and independent lady. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Presciliano Martinez in 2008, parents Richardo and Elena Archuleta, brothers; Reyes, Bonifacio, Gilbert and Ramie Archuleta, sister; Loraine Montoya, nephew Johnny Archuleta and niece Carla Archuleta. She is survived by her children; Patrick Martinez of El Llano, Prescilla Edmonds and husband Bobby of Ranchitos, Alice Martinez of Rio Chama, Sammy Martinez of Medanales, Susie Baldonado and husband Abenico of Las Vegas, Delbert Martinez and wife Anna of Albuquerque, grandchildren; Dona, Roberta Serrano and husband Derrick, Eric, Emmanual, Victoria, Sue Ann, Alicia, Kevin, Michael, Lekrisa, Abenicio, Jonathan, Daniel, Shawn, Elena, and Roberto, great-grandchildren; Derrick Serrano, Jr., Diego Serrano, Nathaniel Martinez, Dominic Serrano and Mandy Martinez, brother; Armando Archuleta and wife Carol of Ranchitos and sister; Lourdes Archuleta of Ranchitos, as well as other nephews, nieces and other relatives. Recitation of the rosary will be on Sunday April 20th at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary, the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00a.m. in The San Antonio Catholic Church in Medanales, with Father James Marshal officiating. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Abenico Baldonado, Derrick Serrano, Michael Carney, Emmanuel, Eric and Jonathon Martinez.
