Biografía


Weldon Joe Broaddus, 61 of Red River, New Mexico passed away at home of natural causes at 8:00 am on July 23, 2016. Weldon was born in Hereford, Texas in 1954. He graduated from Vega High School in Vega,Texas and received a degree from Bryan College, Bryan Texas.
Weldon worked as a Rancher in Vega and then he and his wife Sheila owned the No Name Café in Vega, Texas. After a fishing trip to Red River, New Mexico Weldon and Sheila were so enthralled with the area that they decided to move there. Weldon worked with United States Outfitters before becoming the General Manager of the Lodge at Red River, Texas Reds, The Motherlode Saloon and Bitter Creek Guest Ranch for the last 17 years.
He is preceded in death by his first son, Sheldon Joe Broaddus. Weldon is survived by the love of his life, wife, Sheila Faye Bryan Broaddus. He is also survived by his mother, Jacque Valentine, father, Billy Joe Broaddus, sister,s Judy Starks and Nancy Broaddus, children, Joshua Joe Broaddus, Tess Elizabeth Broaddus and Derrick Joe Broaddus, grandchildren, Taylor Broaddus, Tyler Broaddus, Jordan Carter, Madison Broaddus and Morgan Broaddus.
Weldon never met a stranger that he wouldn’t help if they needed it. He will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
