Patricia Heggen

Patricia Heggen, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away February 14 at the age of 89. She was born August 24, 1926 in Des Moines,Iowa to Clayton and Gail Lande. After receiving her R.N. from Iowa Methodist Hospital, She worked as a nurse in Public Health and was a member of the open-heart surgery team. In 1994, she traveled to India as a hospital volunteer through First Presbyterian Church. She and her husband retired to Santa Fe in 1987 to be near relatives and long-time residents James and Moore. Their love of travel included trips to South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to being an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Patricia kept a strong connection to her family and friends. Her family includes her loving husband of 67 years, Gerald Heggen, daughter Lynn Cave (Randal), son Alan Heggen (Sharon), and Leslie Goslin (Bruce), 8 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John and James Lande. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, 10:00a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 208 Grant Street, Santa Fe. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
