I was saddened to hear of Marie's passing. My condolances go out to all her family. I remember
working with her at El Pueblo State Bank where she was always so friendly and professional.
Layla, you were blessed to have been raised by a beautiful grandmother who loved you dearly and taught you to be a wonderful person.

We were out of town and returned to find out Marie had passed on. It is so sad to hear. We had the privilege of knowing her and Julian for many years and seeing the kids grow up into such fine adults. We will truly miss her beautiful smile and humble and gentle ways. I just dont even know what to say...I can remember Marie getting home from work when she worked at El Pueblo State bank. All of us neighborhood kids were hanging out doing nothing, and sometimes getting in trouble. She was always sooo nice to me, such a classy woman who carried herself with pride. I remember when Julie and Steph would kid around with her she would kid back by getting a little annoyed...but she was always the best mom to those girls and her son John. I will always remember Marie for her high heel shoes. I never could understand how she wore them everyday to work, and when she got home, never complained!..thank you for the memories of my childhood Marie. You will be greatly missed, but you brought up two wonderful women who will carry on your lessons in this life...love always, your little neighbor pest, Christine Gallegos

Please accept my condolences. The loss of a loved one is truly a difficult time for family and friends. It is encouraging to know that God has loving concern for bereaved ones. God does not plan for us to suffer from sickness and death forever. He promises that one day he will swallow up death forever (Isaiah 25:8,9) and No resident will say I am sick (Isaiah 33:24) We will also have the opportunity to be reunited with our loved ones. According to scriptures such as Isaiah 26:19; Hosea 13:14, John 5:18,29 and Revelation 20:13, there will be a resurrection. This hope brings me comfort, strength and encouragement. I have faith in those scriptures because Titus 1:2 tells us that God can not lie. Please review these scriptures in your own copy of the bible. May these words bring you comfort, strength and encouragement.
