I am so sorry Stan and I missed this. My heart aches for not being there with everyone. Have many pictures of our Canoe/tubing (canubing) parties we had. Will try and get them loaded on here this coming weekend. Thoughts, hugs and prayers to all. Rejoice in heaven Larry.

Larry,
In ancient Egypt, they used to believe that all life had the potential to be immortal. They believed that after life, an individual would go through the 'weighing of the heart' in which if your heart weighed the same as a feather after judgment, and you would be granted eternal life after death.
And even if you didn't believe in an ancient myth, or if anyone does for that matter...we all know that your legacy will be immortal to every life, mind, and heart you've touched in your whole life. We will never forget you, and we will cherish every moment we've ever gotten to have with you. I will miss your laugh and your smile, and the late nights after we had to wait for Gabrielle to get off work. I'll miss eating your wonderful pies, and I'll miss accidentally eating the expired food that you hoard in your freezer. Every trip to the lake will be in your honor. And even though I've known you for only two years, I am certainly glad to have met a young, strong soul like yours.
And the next time I find those white peach Japanese wine coolers you loved, I'll make sure to cheers it with the family and friends you love, especially in your name.
Thank you.

Living like Larry could not be a more suitable quote. Of the most humble, generous and gentle beings I've ever met. His youth never seemed to escape him, coasting through life never lacking appreciation for it.
Having the honor of knowing larry and the malec family is a privilege.

Larry was a great neighbor and friend. We will miss him dearly. His smile, his gentle laugh will always be remembered. He was a great Father, Grandfather and friend to many. The countless stories of his friends, acquaintances and pure strangers he reached out to and gave a helping hand, a project or a job. Whatever he could do he seemed to do it with love and compassion. Truly a great person. My hope is that all of us carry a little bit of that selflessness that Larry was so full of with us through our lives. Thanks Larry you were truly one of the great ones. My sincere condolences to my cousins Toni and Wendy and my Aunt Sue and their families on the loss of Uncle Larry. I will always remember him as a kind and generous man with a very big heart. Even as we all grew older Larry would always come to all of the family functions, and that always meant a lot to me. Looking back at last photos I never saw Larry without a smile. My memories of Uncle Larry will always be in my heart. God Bless.

The world is not the same without you Grandpa Larry..the memories with you go on and on. From you driving us girls out to your house telling all kinds of hilarious stories to us girls driving out to spend time at the lake with you, once again listening to your funny stories. The best part is, you made each and every one of laugh and smile, until our abs couldn't take it anymore! The list still continues as you watched many of soccer games..from high school to college, you were there cheering away. You will be deeply missed by many, Larry. I'm am so grateful to have the pleasure of knowing you. Sending prayers and condolences to the Malec family during this difficult time❤️

Grandpa Larry was one of a kind!! He was as sweet as they come & always opened up his house to Gabby and all her friends. We made so many life long memories there! The best memories were those centered around late-night boat rides with grandpa. He had so many great stories and made everyone laugh. Grandpa Larry you will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.

Truly a legend, one of a kind. I can't even remember the first time I met gpa because he made me feel like I already knew him for forever, that's how he made people feel. He gave and gave and never expected anything in return. Such a warm kind loving man, he was like a grandpa to me, the Goulets send all of their love, here for the Malec's always.

My condolences to Sue, Toni, Wendy, Eddie, and the entire family. Although I haven't had much contact with Larry recently, Larry taught me many lessons about life. Above all, Larry taught me how important it was to always "paid it forward". RIP Larry, I know you'll be missed by all who knew and loved you (including me).

So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Larry and I grew up together in Parma. Larry was my first boyfriend. In 3rd grade we cashed in some bottles and went to Tinkems 5& dine and both 5 cent rings to exchange. His was black plastic with a rhinestone and mine was an orange plastic flower! Young love! He was a good friend and always with a big smile and welcoming nature. He will be missed.

So sorry for for your loss. The first time I met Larry was at Donna's, when he was buying the bar. I don't know if a lot of people knew that Larry was a good artist. I had come in the bar
after work and sat at the bar. Larry was sitting in a booth. After a while he came up to me and said guess what I have been doing. Of course I did not know. He then pulled out a paper and showed me a picture he drew of me. It was a good picture. Larry will be missed by all who knew him.

An adventurer. In his younger years he loved to travel. Right up to the very end, he liked to "go out and play". Party? Umm... yes!!! He loved to tell stories. Some of us heard the same stories over, and over, and over... but they made him laugh every time, and they made other people laugh every time. He had a great sense of humor and liked to connect with people in that way.
What really made him happy was family. He LOVED his family. He was there for all of his daughters gymnastics meets in high school and college. He was there for all of his 5 grandchildren's sports and school and church events. He created a home on the lake as a gathering place for his family and all of their friends. Holidays, birthdays, summer weekends...Going to Grandpas Lake was always something to look forward to.
Its a shame that he spent so much time worrying about people who did not like him, and being paranoid about who was out to get him. The larger truth, though he was not perfect, is that he was well loved by many people. He had a lasting, positive effect on people.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. We love Larry very much. He was a kind, thoughtful, generous man who added to everyone around him and made them better. We thought of him as Family. I realize in a time like this that words are simply not enough, but we are sending love, hugs and prayers that God provides a comfort only He can. If we can do anything please let us know.
