Biografía

Jose D. Lopez, age 78 of Dixon, NM. died peacefully on Sunday September 6, 2009. He was born to the late Juan de Dios Lopez and Rosa Roybal, in Llano de San Juan, New Mexico in 1931 and raised by Juan de Dios and Petra Lopez. He manufactured parts for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Industries for many years until retirement. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Claudina Lopez, stepmother Petra Lopez, brothers Teodoro and Elizardo, brother-in-law Luis Chacon and sisters-in-law Hazel and Aneda Lopez. He is survived by his caregiver and close sister Orlinda Sanchez and husband Efren of Dixon, other sisters; Carolyn Valdez and husband John of Rio Rancho, Oralia Vigil and husband Ray of Penasco, Rosie Chacon of Dixon and Elsie Cordova and husband Rufino of Utah. His brothers include; Jimmy Lopez and wife Evelyn of Llano de San Juan, Gilbert Lopez and wife Shirley of Taos, Juan Lopez of Llano de San Juan, Anival Lopez and wife Reyes of Vadito, nieces, nephews and relatives. Cremation arrangements without public visitation has been arranged. Floral arrangements may be delivered to The Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola for display at the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated on Friday, September 11, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Dixon. Dear Tio and Padrino: You will be greatly missed. We will always cherish the good times we spent together! You always made us laugh.You will always be remembered in our prayers. My mother, Elsie Cordova, thought the world of you. You two were very close. Always talking on the phone and keeping in touch. She will miss you greatly too along with my father Rufino. We hated to see you suffer and go through all the pain that you went through. But now you have found peace and you are with our Heavenly Father and my Madrina and all the love ones the have passed on. May your light shine upon us and guide us. I would like to thank my Tia Orlinda and Tio Elfrin for taking care of you this last two months. Their efforts are greatly appreciated.
