John E. Chase

Biografía


John was born June 22, 1935 in Dexter, Iowa, the son of Verl and Eunice (Wright) Chase. John married Ruby Golightly on April 22, 1955 and to this union one son was born. A special thank you to Dr. Gregory Hicklin and staff for all the special attention shown to dad. John worked in sales and marketing all of his life. During his working career he worked in several retail operations but specifically for Des Moines Ford Tractor, Sidles and Nebraska Furniture Mart from which he retired. John served in the United States Army and was a member of the Shrine and West Gate Adelphic Masonic Lodge #509 of Des Moines. He greatly enjoyed sprint car racing. He is survived by his son, Dave Chase and wife, Mary of Ankeny; a sister and special brother-in-law, Marilyn and Dave Tobey of Des Moines; a brother, Verl A. Chase Jr. and wife, Shizuko of Bellevue, NE; 2 grandsons, Dustin and Dillon and a granddaughter, Jaydin; 4 nephews, 2 great nephews and a special friend, JoAnn Jones of West Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents.
