Eloy Frank Mondragon

Biografía

Eloy Frank Mondragon, 72, of Taos passed away on February 13, 2010. He worked for the Town of Taos as a cross guard until 2006. He retired from Ralston-Purina in 1990. He was a veteran of the US Army & Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eloy & Rose Mondragon, brother, Clarence Mondragon and sister, Ada Rael. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Mondragon, children, Kathy Coca (Jose) of Llano Quemado, Stephan Mondragon (Joyce) of Albuquerque, David Mondragon of Llano Quemado and Roberta Mondragon of Buena Vista, CO, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived sisters and brothers, Elmira Martinez (Luz) of Taos, Marbella Trujillo of Colorado Springs, Doris Cordova (Jesus) of Denver, Co, Corelia Ulibarri (Lawrence) of Colorado Springs, CO, Toni Remington of Colorado Springs, CO, Toby Mondragon of Taos, Richard Mondragon (Erminia) of Taos and Wilma Kimlicka of Taos and many other relatives.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 7 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment to follow at 2:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

My daughter Chelsea and I met Mr. Mondragon when she attended Enos Garcia for 3 months. He was always welcoming and truly cared for the kids he watched. He was kind and sweet, we will remember him always.

Dear Aunt Barbara, Kathy, Stevan, David and Roberta,

It is with a heavy heart that I have learned of Uncle Lloyd's passing. I can't imagine the sorrow you all must feel. But know that all of you and your families will be in my thoughts and prayers at this moment of loss. Though the years have distanced us I have such fond memories of Uncle Lloyd, he was always kind to me. I think of our childhoods often and I can still hear us laughing til we cried and I hope these words can make you smile through the tears we cry now. Hold on to the good times they always seem to help us through the bad.

Dear Barbara and Roberta,

You have been a part of our family and I can feel your broken heart for losing your parnter and father. Kathy, Jose and our kids have shared so many wonderful times together they are too many to count. Lloyd was a good loving kind man who took great pride in his family and grandchildren and through the good and bad times we depended on his strenghth to see us through.
