Dilia M Martinez

Dilia Montoya-Martinez loving mother, grandmother and wife passed away on Saturday morning June 19, 2010. She was a life long resident of Hernandez and Espanola. She was preceded in death by her husband José Pat Martinez, together they taught for fifty years in the Espanola Public School district. They both retired to take care of their grandchildren. Dilia Montoya Martinez is survived, by her son, Phillip Martinez, daughter, Cecilia Martinez-Sanchez and husband Michael, and her granddaughters, Karina Sanchez, Helene Martinez, grandsons; Eric and Christopher Sanchez, sister-in-law; Elvira Montoya. In addition her extended family includes brothers, Luis Montoya and Candy Montoya as well as her sister in laws Annie Shaw, Gen Martinez, May Martinez, also Augustine and Tessie Martinez along with many loving nieces and nephews and friends. A wake will be on June 23, 2010 at 6:00pm followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm in the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 24th at 11:00am San Jose Catholic in Hernandez. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following pallbearers is: Chris Sanchez, Eric Sanchez, Karina Sanchez, Helene Martinez, Floyd Montoya, and Merlin Trujillo.
