Corina Martinez

Corina Martinez age 92 passed away peacefully with her loving daughter at her side. A lifelong resident of Potrero she was born on September 16, 1917 and died on Saturday July 31, 2010. Corina was preceded in death by her husband Malaquias, daughter Renee and great grandson, Rafael A. Atencio, joining them at their heavenly fathers side. She is survived by her daughter Margie C. Sanchez and grandchildren, Julie Johnell Atencio and husband Ralph, Chris Sanchez, Victoria Sanchez and husband Trace, Martin Sanchez, Francisco Sanchez, and Juanito Duran and seven great grand children. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nora Montoya and husband Ruben and Rose Martinez, many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives. Recitation of the rosary will be on Sunday August 1st at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, with the mass of Christian burial being celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church in Chimayo. Interment will follow in Chimayo.
