Belinda Stookey

Belinda Stookey, 74, of Apache Junction, AZ, formerly of Winterset, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert, of complications from cancer.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with burial immediately following in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Patterson.
A luncheon will be held at the Community Room at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Winterset.
Memorials may be made to the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, 2946 E. Banner Gateway Drive, Gilbert, AZ, 85234.

Belinda Ware was born June 13, 1940. On November 29, 1958, she married Fred Stookey. The Stookeys had one daughter, Kristin, now of Gilbert, AZ. Belinda was a long-time employee of the Winterset Shopper and an active member of the Patterson United Church and its UMW. Belinda and Fred also were avid fans of Winterset sports. The couple moved to the Apache Junction area several years ago.
